* It is available upon presentation of an appropriate document to: children up to 7 years of age, museum employees in the State Register of Museums, members of ICOM and ICOMOS, holders of the Pole’s Card, recipients of the Order of the White Eagle, the Virtuti Militari Military Order, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, the “Gloria Artis” medal for Merit to Culture, honorary blood donors, veterans, veterans, injured veterans, press card holders, people with disabilities, and their assistant (except for museum events, guided tours, and educational activities).
** It is granted upon presentation of an appropriate document to: pupils, students, retirees, pensioners, people over 65 years of age, teachers, doctoral students, awarded the medal “For the care of monuments”, natural persons awarded the badge “For the care of monuments”, the honorary badge “Distinguished cultural activist”, the honorary badge “Merit for Polish Culture” or awarded the honorary title “Merit for National Culture”, holders of the Large Family Card.
*** We invite those traveling by Koleje Mazowieckie trains to visit the Museum with a 30% discount on admission tickets to exhibitions. The Rail to Culture campaign will last until the end of 2024. To take part in the promotional campaign, you must purchase a train ticket operated by Spółka Koleje Mazowieckie during its validity period and bring it to the Museum within its validity period (or no later than 30 days from its expiry date).

LIBRARY
The library remains closed until the end of August 2024 – we are working on implementing a new system that will improve the use of the book collection.

The museum’s public space is designed on one level, therefore enabling disabled people to access the exhibitions as well as other cultural events such as lectures or concerts.
A toilet for disabled people is located within the building.
Near the main entrance to the Museum there are a few parking places for disabled people.
The museum shop is located in the main hall of the Museum. The shop offers publications accompanying exhibitions, publications on Asian themes and museum souvenirs, as well as original handicrafts, jewellery and designs from various regions of Asia. The shop also offers books, games and toys for children.

VISITOR REGULATIONS
The Andrzej Wawrzyniak Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw
I. General provisions
- The Andrzej Wawrzyniak Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw registered at the following address: 24 Solec Street, 00-403 Warsaw, e-mail: sekretariat@muzeumazji.pl, website: www.muzeumazji.pl, tel.: +48 22 621 94 70 (hereinafter referred to as: ‘the Museum’) is a local government-run cultural institution entered in the register of cultural institutions kept by the Mazovian Province Local Government under the number 8/99 and it is a registered museum entered in the State Register of Museums kept by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, NIP no. 526-025-00-15, and REGON no. 000646736.
- The Museum has legal personality.
- For the purpose of this document, a Visitor is defined as every person visiting the exhibitions of the Museum and every person participating in events organised at the Museum.
- The Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Cultural events may continue after 6 p.m.
- When entering the Museum, every Visitor accepts the stipulations of this document (hereinafter referred to as: ‘Visitor Regulations’) and agrees to obey them.
- Information for people with disabilities can be obtained from the visitor service staff.
- Cloakroom use is free of charge. Luggage which cannot be brought into the exhibition space can be left in the cloakroom. There is limited space (lockers) for luggage in the cloakroom. The cloakroom is unsupervised. Valuables should not be left in the cloakroom.
- Detailed information concerning the operations of the Museum, its opening hours, ticket prices and temporary closures of exhibition spaces and elements of exhibitions is available at the Museum ticket office and on the Museum website.
II. Tickets
- Due to the Museum’s size and the character of display, there are limits on visitor numbers allowed to remain in the exhibition space at any one time. The Museum reserves the right to temporarily suspend admissions if the limits are exceeded.
- The Museum reserves the right to exclude certain exhibition rooms and elements of displays.
- Visitors should have tickets available for inspection at all times while on Museum premises.
- Tickets for cultural events held at the Museum must be purchased before the start time.
- Reduced price tickets will be issued upon presentation of a document entitling the holder to a discount.
- Information regarding groups of people entitled to concessions or free admission and types of documents confirming entitlement is available at the Museum ticket office and on the Museum website.
III. Sale of Tickets
- Exhibition admission tickets will be free of charge until 12 January 2020.
- The Museum may charge for entry to certain events from its programme.
- As part of its programme, the Museum also organises events which are free of charge.
- Information concerning events organised by the Museum is available on the Museum website, its Facebook page and the programme booklet.
- Tickets can be purchased at the Museum ticket office.
- The Museum ticket office takes cash payments in Polish złoty and accepts cards – information about types of cards accepted is available at the ticket office and on the Museum website.
- Ticket prices are available at the Museum ticket office. Admission prices for particular events are also published in the programme booklet. Information about groups of Visitors entitled to concessions or free entry is available at the ticket office.
- The Museum reserves the right to introduce fees other than those included in the price list for entry to particular events organised by or held at the Museum
- Due to health and safety regulations, the Museum reserves the right to regulate the number of tickets which may be sold.
- Tickets will be checked by Museum staff. Visitors without documentation confirming eligibility for a concessionary ticket may be obliged to pay the difference in price between a concessionary ticket and a full price ticket.
- The price provided at the time of purchase is binding.
- All prices are in Polish złoty and are inclusive of VAT.
- The Museum issues VAT invoices in accordance with the timescales and conditions determined by the existing laws and regulations. The Museum is authorised to issue electronic invoices and send them as PDF files to the e-mail of the Purchaser. VAT invoices may only be issued in the name of the party which completed the purchase.
- In cases of Museum closure resulting from force majeure (catastrophes, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, national mourning, etc.), Visitors are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price. Payments made in cash and by card are reimbursed at the Museum ticket office.
IV. Rules of Order
- Visitors are obliged to follow instructions given by Museum staff concerning order.
- Children under ten years of age may visit the exhibition under adult supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for preventing damage and are liable for damage caused by the inappropriate behaviour of children.
- Organised groups of children are required to remain under adult supervision at all times.
- The Museum operates closed circuit television system which records and stores images.
- Museum equipment may only be used for the intended purpose.
- Use of washroom facilities is restricted to those visiting the Museum or participating in its events.
- It is allowed to visit the Museum with a dog, provided that the animal is not aggressive, is kept on a leash and has a muzzle. The person coming with a dog is required to have a valid document confirming the validity of the dog’s obligatory vaccinations.
- It is prohibited to:
- bring into the Museum luggage larger than 55 x 35 x 20 cm. It is permissible to carry handbags and baggage required by parents and guardians of children as well as items required for health reasons. Backpacks must be carried by hand;
- bring in items which may cause harm to other Visitors through soiling, bodily harm or damage to property or which may soil or damage the equipment of the Museum;
- consume food and drink (except in the café area);
- smoke cigarettes and e-cigarettes anywhere in the Museum;
- touch the exhibits; objects which can be touched by Visitors are clearly marked; Visitors may explore multimedia content presented on touch screen devices;
- lean on display cases;
- run;
- hold conversations on mobile phones;
- enter excluded areas;
- touch equipment used for stabilising climatic conditions and devices protecting the collection;
- take photos and videos using a tripod or flash as well as take photos or videos in a way violating point 8 below; any use of photos and films acquired is possible only after satisfying the requirements set out by copyright law; the Visitor is aware that the display of the Museum is protected by copyright law and Visitor Regulations do not imply any licence to the Visitor; it is prohibited to photograph and video security systems;
- cause Museum staff difficulties in carrying out their work duties and obstruct the functioning of the Museum in any other way;
- enter the Museum under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances, behave in a way threatening the safety of other people or exhibits, impair the experience of other Visitors, cause public disturbance, deviate from accepted norms for personal hygiene;
- organise public gatherings, public collections, engage in trade activity, distribute advertisements or announcements and engage in any other commercial activity without the permission of the Museum.
- Photography and filming carried out as part of a business or professional activity or for other than private or non-commercial purposes requires the Museum’s permission. Information may be obtained by contacting the Museum’s mainoffice or the Cultural Projects and Promotion Department.
- Should a Visitor violate Visitor Regulations, he or she may be asked to leave by a member of Museum staff or a security officer, which they should immediately comply with. In such circumstances, Visitors are not entitled to a refund.
V. Complaints
- Visitors may complain about the Museum’s operations, its programme and customer service.
- Complaints may be sent by e-mail to sekretariat@muzeumazji.pl or by post to Muzeum Azji i Pacyfiku, ul. Solec 24, 00-403 Warszawa.
- Complaints must include name and surname of the person submitting them, address (postal or electronic) and a description of the subject of the complaint.
- If the details provided in the complaint are insufficient, the Museum requests the complainant to provide the required information. A correctly submitted complaint will be responded to by the Museum within 30 days of receiving the complaint in full. The response will be sent using the same delivery method to the address provided in the complaint. The Museum bears no responsibility for incorrectly submitted complaints, in particular where incorrect or false information is provided by the Visitor.
- The Museum bears no responsibility for complaints sent by email which were filtered by the Museum’s anti-spam system.
- The Museum’s decision concerning complaints is final. This does not affect the Visitor’s statutory rights under the Civil Code and the Act on Consumer Rights of 30 May 2014 (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 683).
VI. Final provisions
- Visitor Regulations are available on the Museum website and a hard copy is available at the ticket office.
- The content of this document may be printed out, saved onto a storage device or downloaded from the Museum website at any time.
- In case of a dispute connected with a sale contract, parties will seek to resolve the issue amicably.
- Every Visitor is entitled to use out of court methods of complaint handling and settling claims. It is possible for Visitors to use mediation. Lists of regular mediators and existing mediation centres are provided by and made available by heads of appropriate District Courts.
- The Museum reserves the right to introduce changes to Visitor Regulations.
- The Regulations came into force on 1 March 2019.
